Gen Con is committed to help the industry thrive. It is excited to announce a new addition to the exhibit hall, Entrepreneurs’ Avenue, which will help accomplish this goal.

In its 43rd year, Gen Con is focused on continuing to create fun and edgy gaming experiences with the returning exhibitors, while supporting new business and welcoming back companies who have not exhibited in the past few years. In all, Gen Con looks to again host over 270 exhibitors at Gen Con Indy 2010 which will take place at the Indiana Convention Center from August 5-8, 2010.

“Gen Con Indy 2009 was an amazing show both for attendees and exhibitors,” said Scott Elliott, senior director of sales for Gen Con LLC, “but some smaller companies couldn’t exhibit due to the tough 2009 economy. Gen Con is committed to small publishers and to entrepreneurs with game, science fiction and fantasy centric businesses. Entrepreneurs’ Avenue offers great value to support these businesses.”

The entrepreneurial rate will be offered to any exhibitor who has not exhibited since before 2007 or any exhibitor who has never exhibited with Gen Con in the past. Exhibitors who come in under this rate will be allowed to purchase only one 10x10 standard booth and be placed in Entrepreneur’s Avenue. Space in this area is limited, and will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.

New fellowship

In order to reward superior marketing of their presences at Gen Con Indy, Gen Con LLC will award a marketing fellowship to six Entrepreneurs’ Avenue exhibitors. Business recipients of this fellowship will receive a complimentary booth upgrade from a 100 square foot booth to a 200 square foot end cap booth in Entrepreneur’s Avenue, and will be featured in a special area of the Gen Con Indy 2010 program book. In order to apply for the Gen Con Marketing Fellowship, eligible exhibitors must submit their Gen Con Indy 2010 exhibitor application. Gen Con will then contact eligible candidates by email and provide the Gen Con Marketing Fellowship application documents. Gen Con will announce fellowship recipients in March 2010. For further details on this marketing fellowship, please email exhibitors@gencon.com.
