Whilce Portacio Exclusive Hulk Cover Announced for Long Beach Comic and Horror Con

Press Release: Long Beach Comic and Horror Con and Golden Apple are pleased to announce a deal for an Incredible Hulk exclusive cover variant from Marc Silvestri, Jason Aaron and Sunny Cho. The eye-popping cover was created by featured Long Beach Comic Con show guest, Whilce Portacio. Long Beach Comic and Horror Con will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center October 29 & 30.

"When we were considering the possibilities for the cover to this book, I couldn't have imagined it would look this incredible. We are thrilled to offer this to our Advance Ticket holders who purchase Weekend tickets, and of course, all of our Lifetime Pass holders, said Phil Lawrence, Director of the Long Beach Comic Con. Jim Hanley's Universe Hosts Signing Event Prior to NYCC

On October 12th, the day before NYCC, Mark Texeira (Red Spike, Wolverine), Ben McCool (Pigs, Choker), Nathan Edmondson (Who is Jake Ellis?), Chris Houghton (Reed Gunther), Shane Houghton (Reed Gunther), Edwin Huang (Skullkickers), Richard Starkings (Elephantmen), Charles Soule (Twenty Seven), Jeff Cahn (Red Spike), Owen Wiseman (Samurai's Blood), David Baxter (Marksmen), Chris Giarrusso (G-Man) and more will be on hand to sign copies of their latest comics books. The first 50 people to buy a comic from any of the attending creators will receive a FREE copy of the September 2011 edition of HEAVY METAL magazine. We’ll have drinks and snacks available on hand and plan to party down with our diverse lineup of personalities.

PBS Documentary "A Never-Ending Battle" Will Debut at New York Comic Con

Press Release: “A Never-Ending Battle,” the first episode of a new film from the creative team responsible for the award-winning PBS documentaries “Broadway: The American Musical” and “Make ‘Em Laugh: The Funny Business of America,” will be screened in front of an audience for the first time at the New York Comic Con, the East Coast’s largest and most exciting pop culture convention.

Featuring rare footage along with new interviews with legends such as Joe Simon, Stan Lee, Jim Steranko, Neal Adams, Michael Chabon and Jules Feiffer, segments of the first episode – “A Never-Ending Battle: 1938-1954” – will be previewed on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 4PM in Room 1B01 of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center at 655 West 34th Street in Midtown Manhattan. An on-stage interview and Q&A with filmmakers and cultural historians Michael Kantor and Laurence Maslon will take place immediately following the screening.

Johnny Yong Bosch - Voice Actor/Musician

Johnny is best known for portraying Adam Park in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and being the English voice of Vash the Stampede in Trigun, as well as the voice of Ichigo Kurosaki in Bleach, Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Itsuki Koizumi in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Kiba in Wolf's Rain, Renton Thurston in Eureka Seven, Emil Castagnier in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, Shotaro Kaneda in Akira, and Nero in Devil May Cry 4. He's also a two-time American Anime Award nominee.

AniMinneapolis 2012 Coming To Ramada Mall of America

Press Release: AniMinneapolis is excited to announce that the 2012 AniMinneapolis anime convention will be held June 29 – July 1, 2012 at the Ramada Mall of America in Bloomington, Minneapolis. After its triumphant first year, with over 1200 unique attendees, AniMinneapolis is excited about moving to Bloomington, where many other fan conventions in Minneapolis are held.
