Prior to the Warner Brothers event at SDCC on Saturday the official Green Lantern movie logo was released to the public.

The Green Lantern movie which is directed by Martin Campbell is slated for release in June 2010 and stars Ryan Reynolds. The synopsis of the movie is below:

A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax … he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.[/blockquote]

Preview night brought news that Stan Lee and Boom! Studios will be teaming up to create 3 new series.

The three new series include:

• Soldier Zero by Paul Cornell and Javier Pina - October
• The Traveler by Mark Waid and Chad Hardin - November
• Starborn by Chris Roberson and Khary Randolph - December

Stan Lee was asked what pushed him to get together with Boom! Studios and he responded:

[blockquote]They offered a lot of money. Seriously, I've liked the work that BOOM! has done. It sounded exciting where I could sort of be like an overall editor or buttinski. They create the books and they bring them to me. 'What do you think of this idea? How do you like this? Let's talk about the art?' So I felt as though I was back in the Bullpen again like I used to be at Marvel. [/blockquote]

This video was taken at the screening during SDCC 2010. It has been said that this is a cut down version of the trailer that cuts out scenes that might have been offensive at a "family friendly" event.
