I tried to fine Conventions in Ohio so I did a search Address "Ohio" all other feilds were left blank and I get no resalts found now even if I could remember the name of the convetion I was looking for their is no garenty I could spell it right. as I am typing this I am seeing the red underlins showing that I have spelled the word wrong but for this poticuler letter I think that not correcting them will make my point better as the line to not apper in the smaller text boxes as they are a diffent type of input field and if my miss spelling of a word happens to be the correct spelling of a deffent word I get no line at all

So Idea's That would make this site much more useful to me.

1) Events in [state] listings
2) Sort by distance from you options
3) Give Furry Conventions their own Category
4) Have a search form that has check boxes for categories
5) Does the Convention have an "Artist Ally" or an "Art Show" or both
6) Adding a theme field "Star Wars" "Star Trek" "Steam Punk" "Cathulu" like a sub Category

This is the map of Conventions I made 3 years ago just from web searching. I see from your map that I am missing a lot of them and as you can see I have a lot that are not on your map. Your Map has a much better interface may be I could be made a Collaborator on your map then I could help fill in the holes and learn how to do those really cool grouping flags. A flag for furry conventions would need to be added I love Furries and found a lot of their Conventions. I could just update my map but I think my time would be better served Updating yours then mine can be retired and I can change all my links to point at your map.

Thank you for the insight and the thoughts. Sorry, that it took me so long to respond.

Let me answer your questions as you put them together:

1) Events in [state] listings
Answer: I have been thinking about this and I will look at implementing this soon.

2) Sort by distance from you options
Answer: Another great idea and I think I have the ability to do this... I will look into it.

3) Give Furry Conventions their own Category
Answer: This I can do.

4) Have a search form that has check boxes for categories
Answer: Categories is a dropdown in all of the event listings.

5) Does the Convention have an "Artist Ally" or an "Art Show" or both
Answer: This is a good idea and I will look at adding a section for this type of information.

6) Adding a theme field "Star Wars" "Star Trek" "Steam Punk" "Cathulu" like a sub Category
Answer: We use the "Genre" field for this. All events can have as many as they like and its searchable. I will add additional "Genres".
