The official "The Avengers" movie trailer premier is finally here. This highly anticipated movie brings together some of the most successful comic book heroes adapted to film with the much loved director Joss Whedon.

The trailer sets the stage for the defense of Earth against Loki by this magnificent team of super heroes. 

The Avengers, which is being directed by Joss Whedon, will open on May 4, 2012 and star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgård.
