Comic-Con 2011 Announces First Special Guests

Comic-Con International: San Diego (Comic-Con), the largest comic book convention of its kind in the world, will open its Comic-Con 2011 attendee registration for four-day and one-day passes at 9 a.m. PT on Monday, November 1 at Comic-Con.org. In advance of the occasion, the organization today announced the first 20 special guests for its 2011 show.

Comic-Con International 2011 Tickets on Sale Nov. 1st

SD_Comic_Con_mashComic-Con International announced today that 2011 passes will be going on sale November 1st at 9:00AM Pacific time. Passes will only be available online at www.comic-con.org. Just as in past years there will not be any passes for sale at the event itself. That means, if you plan to go to Comic-Con in 2011, you need to get online and get your passes on November 1st before they are sold out. Pass pricing details are below.

Middle Tennessee Anime Convention Gets New Website

MTAC-Ten-Year_thumbNASHVILLE, TN -- The new website for MTAC Odyssey -- the tenth year of the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention -- is now up and active at http://www.mtac.net/.

While you're at it, don't forget to pre-register for MTAC Odyssey! Pre-registration has entered its second and final tier before the convention. Buy a three-day membership now for $42! Single-day, two-day and group memberships are available. Previous MTACs have sold out, so guarantee your way in early.

Also still available are hotel rooms at MTAC's convention home -- the Sheraton Music City. Use the link on the MTAC site for the special rate starting at $109 a night. Available rooms don‚t last long, so reserve yours as soon as possible.

Anime League Club London Coming in February

ALCL_thumbRunning in a bar between 300-400 people, ALCL is London's little anime convention. It's just £5 for all day from Midday to 11PM!

Watch Anime, Play Video Games, Show off your Artwork and chill with other artists in the Artist Alley, dress up and enter our Cosplay Events, buy Anime & Manga from our dealers room, enter events like our DDR Tournament and pub quiz, learn Japanese Culture, and party away all night!

THE BASICS

Special Events - Pub Quiz, Cosplay Masquerade, DDR Tournament, Dub That Anime, Artists Showcase, AMV Showings, Cosplay Showdown, The Club London Party!

Video Gaming - We will be running tournaments throughout the day! We will also have a variety of up to date games, as well as retro-gaming! Tournaments will be announced!

Artists Alley - We will have an artists alley for artists to chill out with a drink or three. Artists will also be drawing commissions as well for you!

Cosplay Masquerade - There will be a £50 cash prize for the winner of this! A panel of judges will decide. Please note that to be eligible for the grand prize your costume must have been made by you - if you bought it then you won't be eligible for the prize (but you'll still be allowed to enter the masquerade, of course!) So, get making those costumes, cosplayers!

The Cosplay Showdown - Prepare to gather your team of cosplayers to do a series of comedy skits for everyone to watch round by round. Start getting those teams together now folks - signups will be opening very shortly! Do you have what it takes to win the ultimate cosplay showdown? The final has two teams battling each other in a Final Fantasy RP style battle! YAY!

Anime Screening - Watch anime that you may never have heard of before. A great chance to see what's up and coming and add to your watch list when you get home!

And More! Roleplaying, Card Gaming, Partying, Cosplaying, Dealers to buy your favourite merchandise, something for everyone! And that's not even counting our top-notch guests!"
