Animation and Gaming Ohio Announces Their Final Guest

Troy Baker will be joining A&G Ohio for his first Ohio convention appearance ever!! Troy is the famous voice of "Snow Villier" from the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII video game, "Major Richard Blake" from The Resistance 2, as well as various parts from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Resident Evil series. On the anime side he has voiced "Abel Nightroad" in Trinity Blood, "Frank Archer" in Full Metal Alchemist and "Wataru Yuuki" in Galaxy Railways to name a few. He will be joining by D.C. Douglas who is most famous for "Albert Wesker" from Resident Evil, Chris Patton who voiced "Ikki" in Air Gear, Benami artist DM Ashura, The Decepticon Motor Master Semi, Nerd Fit Network, GPX Gaming, Sleeping Samurai and Gavin Goszka.

AandGOhioA and G Ohio Also for a new year comes new events, as we debut the Zelda Live-Action Adventure and the Operation Virus Game. To top it all off, $500 dollar guaranteed pots for Street Fight IV and Dance Dance Revolution Tournaments. Comic-Con Staying in San Diego

SD_Comic_Con_mashComic-Con International: San Diego (Comic-Con), the largest comics convention of its kind in the world, today announced it will be staying in San Diego for the foreseeable future.Comic-Con reached a self-imposed attendance limit at the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) in 2007 and has had to cap attendance at approximately 125,000 people each year since.

Marvel Headed to NYCC 2010

MarvelComics_latestMarvel Comics will once again have a strong presence at New York Comic Con (NYCC). Organizers of the annual East Coast pop culture extravaganza have announced that five notable personalities from the renowned comic books and media entertainment company will be Guests of Honor at NYCC and will be participating in several panel discussions at the show. The Guests of Honor who will be taking the NYCC stage on behalf of Marvel include Brian Michael Bendis, Matt Fraction, Salvador Larroca, Jeph Loeb, and Joe Quesada.

MomoCon announces first guests, events, and registration details

Anime O-Tekku of Georgia Tech is pleased to announce the return of MomoCon, annual anime/gaming/comics convention held in Atlanta, GA, March 20-21, 2010 at Georgia Tech campus. The convention is a family friendly event and is free of charge* to all attendees. People of all ages are encouraged to attend!

MomoCon's 2010 theme is music, and we are happy to announce the return of Extraordinary Contraptions, the steampunk-themed band who blends motown-funk bass grooves with a driving guitar, chaotic drums, playful engagingly keys, and three part vocal harmonies to create their unstuck-in-space-time steam-powered sound! Other confirmed guests include cosplayers Alethia Burns, Ana Aesthetic, and prop-makers Bill Winans and Harrison Krix, along with Otaku Fusion belly dancer, Seraphina.

MomoConMomoCon 2010 Comic guests include Matt Simpson of the webcomic Nuclear Powered Toaster and Bob Pendarvis of Sugar Ninjas, an all-girls anthology series which showcase the talents of up-and-coming female comics artists, illustrators, and storytellers.

To manage its growing size, MomoCon will be having a cap of 7,000 attendees for its 2010 convention. The staff is working on a new on-campus venue in 2011 to ensure that a future cap is no longer necessary. Pre-registration is available in partnership with FandomU, a social network for convention attendees/fans, and is available at www.momocon.com. The main event remains FREE, but members donating at certain levels can enjoy a variety of benefits: badges mailed prior to the convention, early access to the Dealers Room, and more! Attendees are encouraged to pre-register immediately. Advance on-site registration and pre-reg badge pick-up will be available as early as March 19th at the Georgia Tech Campus. Attendees will remain able to register on-site the March 20th and 21st.

MomoCon is also announcing an open call to the fan community for T-shirt, Badge, and Program Book Art. Participating artists whose designs are chosen will receive a prize pack of anime and mange merchandise as well as full credit on MomoCon.com and in the program book. MomoCon continues to encourage expansion of the Southeast fan community through its MomoCon on Tour series of events. C2E2 Announces More Guest for 2010 Event

c2e2Main_thumbOrganizers of the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) have announced that four more Guests of Honor and five more Featured Guests have been added to the growing list of special guest appearances by popular writers, creators and artists at the new pop culture convention which is being launched April 16 - 18, 2010 at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center. Chuck Dixon, Steve Epting, Bob Layton, and David Lloyd will appear as Guests of Honor and Gene Ha, Mark Morales, Joshua Ortega, Khoi Pham, David Uslan, and Dexter Vines will appear as Featured Guests. Officials note that this brings the total number of Guests of Honor appearing at the new show to 12. The number of Featured Guests who have been lined up is 10.
