Today sees the launch of BAYONETTA in Japan, following the recently published New Game Cross Review in the November 5th 2009 issue of Japan’s most respected games magazine, Weekly Famitsu, in which the game achieved a perfect score of 40/40 for Xbox 360 and 38/40 for PlayStation®3 system and both review scores garnering a Platinum award. BAYONETTA is only the 12th game ever to receive a perfect score in the magazine’s history since its first issue in 1986.
“Traditionally high scoring games in Famitsu go on to perform very well at retail in both Japan and the rest of the world. PlatinumGames set out to deliver a game that redefines the 3D action genre, and we feel that they have set a benchmark for future games in the genre to aspire to,” said Mike Hayes, CEO of SEGA America & SEGA Europe. “We chose a January ship date for BAYONETTA as we firmly believe that it is the best time for SEGA and our retail partners to launch this exciting new IP in the West, and push for a number #1 retail slot. BAYONETTA is a huge title for us and the perfect start for the New Year, both for SEGA and gamers across the West.”
BAYONETTA created a huge buzz at this year’s E3 where it was critically acclaimed by the press, picking up numerous best of show nominations and ultimately winning 1UP.com’s Best Action Game of the convention.
From the creators of Devil May Cry and Resident Evil comes the free flowing over-the-top action of BAYONETTA. Play as BAYONETTA, a witch with powers beyond the comprehension of mere mortals and face-off against countless enemies, evil forces and giant sized bosses in a game of 100% pure adrenaline fuelled all-out action.

Dan will join the rest of the PRCC guest lineup, which includes industry veteran and pioneer Joe “Mad” Madureira, comic book artist Greg Capullo; Jason David Frank, MMA fighter and former Power Ranger; and voice actor Liam O’Brien, among many others.
Founded in 2002, the Puerto Rico Comic Con has become the leading pop culture event in the Caribbean, a hub for all things entertainment in the local and international realms, including cinema, television, comics, animation, videogames, card games, collectibles, and memorabilia. More than 10,000 fans enjoy the offerings of over 50 local and international vendors and exhibitors, as well as guest panels and conferences.

Press Release: At a little more than five months away from their March 16 to 18, 2012 event, staff of Lansing's premiere Anime convention, Shuto Con, are getting busy.
"This year we were able to practically double the space we had last year, all because of the wonderful support of the Anime and Gaming fans around us," said Stefanie Shall, Chairwoman of Shuto Con, "Due to this expansion we were also able to book some really amazing Voice Acting guests."
Shuto Con confirmed Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Todd Haberkorn, Doug Smith, and a recent addition, Greg Ayres to their guest list of voice actors this year.
"I am especially excited that Greg Ayres joined our Shuto Con guest line up, as not only does he do great voice over work, but he is also a very accomplished DJ who will be providing music at our “rave” inspired dance" said Shall.
Guests will host panel discussions and take part in many of the events planned for the convention, including a “rave” inspired dance, several musical performances, and cosplay costume contest.
"Cosplay is a convention tradition of dressing up as your favorite character from anime, comics or games," said Will Burgess, Guest Coordinator, "Shuto Con practices Interactive Cosplaying which encourages attendees to interact with others as their character throughout the convention."
Shuto Con also features a video and tabletop gaming room, a vendor hall and Artist Alley featuring original works by local artists.
"We are currently running two art contests for our program booklet/badges and t-shirts" said Shall. "The art contests end Friday, November 18, and winners will receive a free Artist Alley table where their artwork will be featured at the con."
For more information about the art contests see the contest section at: shutocon.com/about.html. Additional information about guests and events can be found at the Shuto Con website: www.shutocon.com.
