Allow Sorting or filtering of Events by State.
Sorting by Cities does not help when an event happens in a suburb of a major city. Sorting/Filtering by state will help someone find an event closer to their area.

Thank you for the suggestion. We will look more in detail with regard to filtering and sorting by state.

One thing that you can try is to use the Event Search screen located @ http://www.geekcal.com/Event-Search.html. Additionally, on any of the event list screens you can click on the State in any of the events to filter by that state.

Thanks. I see that now.

You may want specify to put the full state's name instead of Abbreviation, as when I clicked on a few that I submitted, it came back with other results.
For example, I submitted events with the State as "AR", and places such as Ontario, Canada & Maryland came up. I've changed the upcoming events I submitted to help fix this.

I will take a look at getting the Abbriviations to work better. One other thing that I did since you mentions the location issues is add a "By Location" menu link unter "Events" that will filter events by state.

This should make it a bit more clear since the orginal link was not under the Events menu item.

Thanks,
River

I noticed that was added earlier today. Are all 50 states going to be listed on there? If so it might get a little big.
