Press Release: The Aspen Comics team will be attending this year’s New York Comic Con on October 13th - 16th, and will feature a host of exciting talent and NYCC exclusives for show attendees. Krul, Chap Taylor, Jason Fabok, Micah Gunnell, Oliver Nome, Khary Randolph, Emilio Lopez and more guests will be on hand at the Aspen Comics Booth #1246 throughout the con weekend.

In association with legendary film producer Gale Anne Hurd’s Valhalla Motion Pictures, Aspen will be launching an all-new series, Dead Man’s Run, at the show with the release of an exclusive Dead Man’s Run #0 New York Comic Con 2011 cover by series artist Tony Parker and Peter Steigerwald, limited to 500 copies. Dead Man’s Run takes readers into an entirely different vision of Hell from the mind of superstar comic book scribe Greg Pak with art by the talented Parker and Steigerwald.

Aspen and director McG’s Wonderland Sound and Vision have teamed up to launch an all new horror series, Haunted City, by writers Chap Taylor and Peter Johnson with art by Michael Ryan and Kelsey Shannon. Aspen will be celebrating the release with an exclusive Haunted City #1 New York Comic Con 2011 cover by Joe Benitez and Peter Steigerwald. Haunted City is Aspen’s latest foray into the horror genre as readers will see the Big Apple like they’ve never seen before, as it is truly the biggest haunted house in the world.

In addition to the launches of Dead Man’s Run and Haunted City, Aspen will also feature a special NYCC 2011 exclusive cover to their all new action sci-fi release Broken Pieces #1 by creator Mark Roslan and artist Micah Kaneshiro limited to 500 copies. Broken Pieces tells the tale of a future torn apart by a catastrophic virus while in the midst of this disaster, one man must rebuild not only his life, but everything he holds dear in order to save humanity.

Aspen will also be offering an exclusive Fathom #2 New York Comic Con 2011 by Jason Fabok and Peter Steigerwald, limited to 500 copies and only available at the Aspen Comics Booth #1246.

Each day of the Comic Con, Aspen will be releasing a different, all-new art print featuring Aspen’s most popular covers, with each daily print highly-limited to only 30 editions each. Aspen strongly encourages fans and collectors to arrive early at the Aspen Booth #1246 as quantities of the Aspen daily prints are expected to sell out. Aspen will also be releasing an all-new series of their industry-leading art prints, featuring popular art from Fathom, Soulfire, Lady Mechanika and more.

Press Release: “A Never-Ending Battle,” the first episode of a new film from the creative team responsible for the award-winning PBS documentaries “Broadway: The American Musical” and “Make ‘Em Laugh: The Funny Business of America,” will be screened in front of an audience for the first time at the New York Comic Con, the East Coast’s largest and most exciting pop culture convention.

Press Release: For the first time at New York Comic Con, Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) will attend the convention at the Javits Convention Center in New York City from October 13-16 to present many of its iconic brands and meet with fans. Hasbro will have a significant booth presence featuring current and upcoming products from its TRANSFORMERS, G.I. JOE, JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS and KRE-O brands and BEYBLADE, MARVEL and STAR WARS lines. In addition to its booth exhibition during the main convention, Hasbro will be the title sponsor of New York Comic Con’s “NYCC Kids!” taking place on Sunday, October 16. Within NYCC Kids!, Hasbro will host the National BEYBLADE Championship where semi-finalists from around the country will battle in head-to-head competition to be crowned the BEYBLADE U.S. Champion. The BEYBLADE National Championship winner will be awarded travel to the BEYBLADE World Championship, in Toronto, Canada in March 2012. A worldwide phenomenon, BEYBLADE is a battling tops game with a focus on strategy and high-performance competition. Press Release: Top talent from DC Comics-The New 52 will be attending this year’s New YorkComic Con (NYCC). The annual pop culture extravaganza will include guests Mahmud Asrar, Brian Azzarello, Greg Capullo, Cliff Chiang, Tony Daniel, Dan DiDio, Keith Giffen, Paul Levitz, Francis Manapul, Fabian Nicieza, Joe Prado, Amy Reeder, Ivan Reis, Ardian Syaf, Scott Snyder, Peter Tomasi, and more.

Previously announced Guests of Honor, Geoff Johns, Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment, and Jim Lee, Co-Publisher of DC Entertainment, the creative team for JUSTICE LEAGUE #1 (August 31, 2011), will also be in attendance.

DC Entertainment will once again occupy a 3000 square foot booth on the show floor where fans will have an opportunity to mix and mingle with creators and staff. The preeminent publisher will be participating in several panels over the course of the weekend and officials at DC note that “behind-the-scenes” information about DC Entertainment will be revealed over the course of the weekend. The centrally located booth will feature talent signings, free giveaways and early peeks at the newest action figures, statues, busts and other amazing collectibles on display from DC Direct. The official New York Comic Con poster celebrates DC Comic’s JUSTICE LEAGUE in all their glory set against the iconic NYC backdrop of the Statue of Liberty. The poster is designed by Ivan Reis, Joe Prado and Rod Reis. The posters are not for sale, but signed copies are included in the NYCC VIP packages.
