Press Release: Superstar artists Greg Capullo (“Batman,” “Spawn”),Neal Adams (“Green Lantern,” “X-Men”), Ethan Van Sciver (“Action Comics,” “Flash”) and Ron Garney (“Ultimate Captain America,” “Wolverine”) are a few of the nearly 150 top comics creators scheduled to attend Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, Nov. 30 – Dec. 2 at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The top-flight Artist Alley complements a strong celebrity roster which includes comics legend Stan Lee and seven members of the “Star Trek: The Next Generation”) cast, headed by Sir Patrick Stewart.

Other well-known artists at New Orleans Comic Con include Greg Horn (“Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark,” “Wonder Woman”), Phil Jimenez (“Captain America Corps,” “Fairest”), Michael Golden (“Batman,” “Star Wars”),Jesus Saiz (“Resurrection Man,” “Birds of Prey”), David Mack (“Kabuki,” “Daredevil”) and Marvel “Zombie King”Arthur Suydam (“Marvel Zombies,” “Army of Darkness”). Some of the top local Louisiana talent will also be on display, with New Orleans’ Kody Chamberlain (“Sweets: A New Orleans Crime Story,” “30 Days of Night”) and Lafayette’s Rob Guillory (“Chew”) atop the list.

Eisner Award winners attending New Orleans Comic Con are Garney, Guillory, Lee (Hall of Fame), Adams (Hall of Fame) and Janet Lee (“Return of the Dapper Men”). Eisner nominees include Mack, Van Sciver, Billy Tucci (“Birds of Prey,” “Sgt. Rock”), Jeremy Whitley (“Order of Dagonet,” “Princeless”) and Eliza Frye (“The Lady’s Murder,” “Lucky House”).

In addition to Lee, Stewart and the “TNG” cast, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Eliza Dushku, Reservoir Dogsheadliner Michael Madsen and WWE® Superstar CM Punk® top the celebrity lineup. A variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions will also take place at the final event on Wizard World’s 2012 calendar.

Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, produced by Wizard World, Inc. Press Release: Ray Park, who portrayed “Darth Maul” in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, has been added to the roster of celebrities attending Wizard World Austin Comic Con, Friday through Sunday at Austin Convention Center. He will join stars like Sir Patrick Stewart, WWE® Superstar CM Punk®, Eliza Dushku and Michael Rooker at the event.

A hugely popular Wizard World guest, Park will attend all three days. He will sign autographs, meet fans, pose for photo ops and conduct an interactive Q&A.

Park got his start as an actor and a stuntman in minor roles during 1997’s Mortal Kombat Annihilation. From there, Park was soon cast as “Darth Maul,” his most popular role to date. His turn as a Star Wars villain was embraced by fans for his chilling visual look and Park’s ferocious performance that redefined the sith for the modern audience.

Park has gone on to star or appear in several hit films, including director Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow, Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever, Fanboys and X-Men. Park has also been a regular in the popular NBC series “Heroes” and has a key role in the upcoming blockbuster G.I. Joe: Retaliation with Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Adrianne Palicki, due for March 2013 release.

Austin Comic Con will also feature the reunion of eight cast members of “Star Trek” The Next Generation.” Other stars scheduled to appear at Wizard World Austin Comic Con this weekend include Dean Cain (“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “90210”), The Boondock Saints trio of David Della Rocco, Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino (“Jersey Shore”).

Press Release: DC Entertainment – the industry leader in print and digital comics – will raise fan excitement to record-breaking levels with a number of announcements, creator signings, panels and celebrity appearances at New York Comic-Con. Press Release: Pop culture icon, reality TV star and comic book superhero Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will take his “GTL lifestyle” to the Southwest this fall when he attends Wizard World Austin Comic Con on Saturday, October 27, at the Austin Convention Center. “The Sitch” will meet fans, pose for photo ops, sign autographs, and signing copies of his Collector’s Edition #1 comic book.

Sorrentino and Wizard World announced a publishing and development deal to create a comic book superhero based on “The Situation” and his family. The series is written by Paul Jenkins and drawn by Talent Caldwell with a cover by Greg Horn.

In Austin, Sorrentino joins an impressive list of celebrities like Patrick Stewart, Eliza Dushku and WWE® Superstar CM Punk®attending what is shaping up as the biggest Wizard World Austin show ever and the Southwest’s No. 1 Pop Culture Convention.

Press Release: Viewers of “The X-Files” were told to “Trust No One” and to “Deny Everything.” Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con attendees, on the other hand, can trust that Gillian Anderson, who starred as “Agent Dana Scully” in the popular Fox TV show, will be appearing atWizard World New Orleans Comic Con, and confirm that she will be attending on Saturday, December 1, and Sunday, December 2, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Anderson an award-winning film, television, and theatre actress whose other credits include the ill-fated socialite “Lily Bart” in Terence Davies’ masterpiece The House of Mirth (2000) and “Lady Dedlock” in the very successful BBC production of Charles Dickens’ “Bleak House.”

In 2003, she won the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Best Actress Award for her West End debut in Michael Weller’s two-hander “What the Night Is For.” The following year, she starred in Rebecca Gilman’s play “The Sweetest Swing in Baseball” which ran at London’s Royal Court Theatre from March 25 through May 15, 2004. From May 14 through July 18, 2009, she played Nora in a new version of Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” at the Donmar Warehouse in London. She received a Laurence Olivier Nomination for her performance.

Anderson joins “Star Trek: The Next Generation” actor Sir Patrick Stewart, comics legend Stan Lee, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Eliza Dushku, Reservoir Dogsheadliner Michael Madsen and WWE® Superstar CM Punk® atop the standout lineup of celebrities scheduled to attend the event, Nov. 30 – Dec. 2. An All-Star collection of well-known artists and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions will also be on hand in the final event on Wizard World’s 2012 calendar.

Press Release: The 57th Philly Non-Sports Card Show will take place October 20 and 21 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Merchants Square Mall in Allentown, PA (1901 S 12th Street, Allentown, PA 18103). The Philly Non-Sports Card Show is the premier event for non-sport and entertainment card collectors and has been running continuously since the 1980s.

To coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Mars Attacks, a seminal trading card series, and the recent release of Topps’ Mars Attacks Heritage trading cards, the show will have a Mars Attacks theme. Show goers will be treated to an exclusive Topps Mars Attacks promotional card, several Mars Attacks inspired self-produced Philly Show cards, Mars Attacks prizes, and more. Collectors are encouraged to wear their best alien gear. On Sunday, one lucky show goer will walk away with a deluxe box set of Mars Attacks #1 comics courtesy of IDW Publishing

As always, collectors will find dealers selling a diverse array of trading cards depicting everything from Garbage Pail Kids to The Walking Dead. Many trading card manufacturers will be exhibiting including Breygent Marketing, Cryptozoic Entertainment, Monsterwax, Non-Sport Update, Rittenhouse Archives, shopTopps, SideKick, Topps, and others

Several artists will also be exhibiting, most of whom have worked on Mars Attacks cards in the past. Those artists include: Doug Cowan, Ted Dastick Jr., Brian Kong, Ed Repka, and Sara Richard.

A special gathering for NSU Card Talk forum members and guests will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, the show’s host hotel (advance registration is required). In keeping with the Mars Attacks theme, Topps’ Licensing Manager will speak about where the license is heading.

Admission to the Philly Non-Sports Card Show is just $6 daily. A two-day pass may be purchased for $10. Show hours are Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, 10 AM to 3 PM.
