Press Release: Voice actors Quinton Flynn and Chris Rager will be returning to Anime-SPARK! for the second year, as Anime-SPARK! returns to the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Anime-SPARK! will be held February 16-19, 2012, and registration is $30 through October 20th, 2011. Quinton Flynn, a native of Cleveland, is most well known for providing the voices for Reno in Final Fantasy: Advent Children and Kon from Bleach. He was also featured as Axel in Square-Enix's Kingdom Hearts series, and he was also Raiden in the Metal Gear Solid series. His anime credits include Iruka-sensei and Deidara in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, Marcus Damon in Digimon Data Squad, Carl in Blood+ and Doctor Riddles in Zatch Bell! His roles outside of anime include famous animated characters such as Jonny Quest, Spiderman, Speed Racer, The Human Torch, Timon, Snowbell in Stuart Little, just to name a few. His television and film appearances include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, King of Queens, Animaniacs, Woody Woodpecker, Robot Chicken, and many more. Chris Rager is especially known as the voice behind Mr. Hercule Satan and King Yemma in Dragonball Z. He was also featured as Arlong, the leader of the fish people on the popular "One Piece," among several other characters. Chris has been heard in T.V. commercial ads across the country for companies like Taco Bell, Southwest Airlines and Visa. Although he enjoys the T.V. exposure, Christopher holds voice acting closer to his heart. You may have also heard Chris in Animes such as Blue Gender, Case Closed, Black Cat, Desert Punk, Lupin III, Full Metal Alchemist, Yu Yu Hakusho, Samuri 7 and Sgt. Frog. Chris has also been heard in such video games Spike out: Battle Street, Stuntman Ignition, Bloodrayne, Roadkill and many others. Quinton Flynn and Chris Rager will be participating in fan discussions, answer questions, and signing autographs throughout the convention. Anime-SPARK! is the first winter Iowa anime convention. QC Anime-zing! is excited to announce that Anime-SPARK!, Iowa's winter anime convention, will be returning February 16-19, 2012 to the Clarion Hotel & Convention Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The convention, held in partnership with MaiOtaku.com, will have a valentine's theme for the second year.
Anime-SPARK! will feature voice actor guests of honor, a cosplay masquerade contest, artists, dealers, games, and more. This year will include a larger dealer's room, more video gaming, and even more events. Featured events to return from last year include a Formal Ball, Otaku Speed Dating, an Otaku Date Auction, a Rave Dance, a ConSuite, and more. Anime-SPARK! will run four days long, from Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon.

Anime-SPARK! is excited to announce that full-time martial arts instructors, Samurai Dan and Jillian Coglan, will be joining the convention coming up next month. The convention will be held February 10-14, 2011 at the Clarion Hotel & Convention Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The husband and wife team of Daniel and Jillian Coglan are full-time martial arts instructors, specializing in 16th century Samurai arts. When not teaching at their dojo, the Kojokan, they travel across the country performing and teaching the ancient ways of the most famous warriors in history. With a combined 35 years of experience, their show is a unique blend of history, combative skill, and humor, designed to educate and entertain audiences both large and small.
Beyond their martial arts skills, the dynamic duo collaborated to write, direct, host, and star in a 12 episode TV series entitled "The Way of the Samurai". Daniel is also an author with several martial arts articles published, and he is currently working on his second full-length novel.
Dan and Jillian will be at Anime-SPARK! alongside Quinton Flynn (voice of Reno from Final Fantasy: Advent Children, Kon from Bleach, and Axel from Kingdom Hearts) and Chris Rager (voice of Hercule Satan from DBZ, Butchie and Arlong from One Piece).
In addition, Anime-SPARK! will have special guest Jessie D. Eckles, who will be teaching the waltz prior to Anime-SPARK!'s formal ball. Jessie has over ten years of experience doing Swing, Blues and Waltz as well as other Ballroom dances, and is quite a fantastic waltz instructor.

Anime-SPARK!, the newest anime convention to be announced for Iowa, is excited to announce guest of honor Chris Rager will be attending the convention February 10-14, 2011.
Chris Rager is an American voice actor for Funimation studios. More notable performances are as Mr. Satan and King Yemma on “Dragonball Z”, as well as, Arlong the leader of the fish people on the popular “One Piece”. Chris has been seen in national and regional T.V. commercial ads like Taco Bell, Southwest Airlines and Visa. Although he enjoys the T.V. exposure, Christopher holds voice acting closer to his heart. Cedar Rapids's Anime-SPARK! is a festival celebrating Japanese art and culture, and the surrounding fan culture. The anime convention will be held on valentine's weekend in 2011, at the Clarion Hotel & Convention Center in eastern Iowa. Several events throughout the convention will celebrate the valentine's holiday. Theme events include a date auction, otaku speed dating, formal balls, a host club, and several dances.

QC Anime-zing!, in partnership with MaiOtaku.com, is elated to announce a winter anime convention for 2011, Anime-SPARK! The convention will be held at the Clarion Hotel & Convention Center in Cedar Rapids, IA from February 10-14, 2011 – valentine's weekend.
Anime-SPARK! 2011 will have programming starting late Thursday evening going on into the early hours of Monday morning. The convention, being on Valentine's Weekend, will feature a formal ball Sunday evening, along with events such as MaiOtaku.com's signature Otaku Speed Dating event. Anime-SPARK!
Only a handful of events will reference the holiday, however, and the convention will have many other activities throughout the weekend. These events will include a rave, dozens of panels, videogaming, table top gaming, and anime screenings.
Registration for Anime-SPARK! will start at $15 through August 20, 2010. The price will then increase to $25 through January 10, 2010, and then to $35 at the door.
The organizers of QC Anime-zing! are also trying to develop a continuation of Anime-ZAP! in Peoria, IL for 2011, which has yet to be confirmed.
